About Katy

Hi! I’m Katy (aka Kathryn) DeBra. In Art Luminous: Living a Color-full Life, I’d like to share the kaleidoscope of colors and experiences that is my professional and personal life.

As an artist, I paint canvases and people. I’m happiest and most productive when I work in two to three veins of creative work at a time. My latest passion is creating digital art and digital presence for entrepreneurs. At events, I create memorable experiences doing all natural henna and glitter tattoos, face painting, and tarot / energy readings.

Twelve years ago I started my business as a muralist. I now do custom artwork, color consultation and faux finishes for select projects. I will feature some current and past favorite projects here on the blog.

Henna has inspired me to combine it with painting. I paint a background with acrylic paints and draw a design of henna on top of it. I’m really enjoying this. It feels very unique, not quite painting, not quite drawing. I also make henna ornaments on wood shapes.

Sometimes I'm a real chameleon.

I also look forward to sharing the work and play of my wonderful, amazing fellow artists, colleagues, entrepreneurs, family and friends. I am truly blessed by all the remarkable beings in my life. Thank you for reading and sharing with me!
